I don't know how I missed this before (okay, maybe I skimmed your huge post), but I love Metric. On a whim, I bought Fantasies even though I only knew their song "Help, I'm Alive"...and now I'm in love. It sucks though because I can't find any of their older CDs in stores.

I was introduced to Metric more or less through Cilly. So far 'Fantasies' is all I've been cycling through for the most part, but it is a very amazing album. But some of their older songs are really outstanding as well and I plan on getting those albums.

Hmm... I have so much metric. I've been listening to them since I was 14.

Mercy won't belong to them.

When I saw Metric live last year, they were really good. Gold guns is my favorite song.

That's impressive. I don't think I have any bands that I still listen to from back then. Well, if my plethora of soundtracks and instrumental scores count, then I suppose I still listen to them. I kind of went through a phase...

Gold guns is my favorite song.

I wish I could pick a favorite. I like so many of their songs. Sick Muse maybe. Or Satellite Mind.

I owe my music taste to my brother. He'd drive me around and I'd listen to whatever he was playing. Metric, Stars, Death Cab for Cutie (back before they got all famous), Rilo Kiley, etc. I love those bands still.

Is your brother older than you?

I know I have a tendency to funnel music at my younger sister. And I like to correlate other people's lives to my own. Wink

He's 10 years my senior, so when I was 14, he was 24. He's one of my best friends.
