So guys, we're half way through the year and I want to know what new albums you're listening to.

As for me, it's sad. I haven't bought any 2010 albums. This needs to remedied.

I haven't bought any 2010 albums either.  Roll Eyes I've bought some albums, but they were made last year or a few years before.

darn.. I can't think of any 2010 albums I'm listening to. There really hasn't been any good releases yet. Most of them come later this year.

I have been digging the new fourth Temper Trap single - Love Lost.. But I think it's album came out last year. Here's the song/video, btw:

Brilliant stuff.

I guess we can discuss what we're listening to right now.. July of 2010... Even if it's not a 2010 album.

I've been listening to a lot of The Killers. Day And Age is probably in my top five favorite albums right now.

I'm also listening to a lot of Marilyn Manson (also reading his book.. Fascinating stuff).

2010 releases, eh?

Stars - 'The Five Ghosts'

Owen Pallett - 'Heartland'

Marina & the Diamonds - 'The Family Jewels'

Hot Chip - 'One Life Stand'

Drake - 'Thank Me Later'

Crystal Castles - 'Crystal Castles (II)'

Gorillaz - 'Plastic Beach'

Circa Survive - 'Blue Sky Noise'

All very excellent albums that have been released this year. I recommend checking them all out. Grin

and Temper Trap is pretty nifty.

Matt - From the looks of it we might have to expand to now instead of just this year. At least I don't feel weird for wondering how the heck I made it to July without buying something new. I'd hadn't heard of Temper Trap before, but I like what I've listened to so far. I'm definitely going to check them out more.

Joe - Wow, you've been busy. I like Stars too! I've been checking them out on and off for the past few weeks ever since Sarah mentioned them on Facebook. They're on my list of possible CDs to buy. Smiley

Prior to my 10 hour drive to Missouri, I was having a resurgence of Silversun Pickup's Swoon and listening to La Roux's self-titled album quite a bit. Oh, I've been going through some heavy doses of WAP too (what else for major life changes?).

Some other stuff I've been listening to is stuff from earlier years like everyone else. I've been really into La Roux as of late. And LOTS of Regina Spektor. And Arctic Monkey and Beirut.

OH! And I've gotten heavily into the band Metric as well as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

lolk okay I'm done. xD

Oh, and listening to as much Paper Route and Eisley as ever. I recommend those two bands above all else.

OH! and like Kara mentioned, I've had WAP on replay lately. I actually... (confession) haven't listened to much STG for the past couple months. Idk. I just... wasn't really feeling their music. And then I put WAP on my iPod for whatever reason and it was like BAM! I was suddenly alive and felt endorphins coursing through my body. It was like I fell in love all over again. I plan on putting SOP on my iPod int he near future. xD

kk. done forreal now.

I realized on my drive to work this morning that I should have mentioned Mute Math's Armistice in my list of what I've been listening to that's not at 2010 album. So yeah, you should go listen 'cause it's good.

I don't know how I missed this before (okay, maybe I skimmed your huge post), but I love Metric. On a whim, I bought Fantasies even though I only knew their song "Help, I'm Alive"...and now I'm in love. It sucks though because I can't find any of their older CDs in stores.

I don't know how you feel about ordering CDs online, but I LOVE this store:

CDConnection.com
http://www.cdconnection.com/cd/search/metric

They have all the import albums when I can't find them in stores or on Ebay.  Of course, they're addictive, because once you see all the cool albums they have available, you want to buy like 10-12 things instead of ust the one you went looking for.  Smiley

I actually love internet shopping, especially for music. The main reason why I haven't purchased on the internet yet is because I'm moving in a few weeks and don't want to create extra mail (or extra stuff for that matter). I will definitely check out the link (and probably bookmark it), so thanks. Smiley
