I heard that the band sometimes goes to his DJing nights to watch him and then dance and hang out. In normal proximity.

If I had a friend who DJ's, I would do the same.

Yes, yes they do.  Smiley   I have been fortunate enough to be at one of those events.  Sadly, Mikey wasn't there.

SO -- Did anyone GO yesterday?... I am dying to hear about it !!

Well, dang it !!

I am hoping like crazy to get on the list for the Bloomington, IN show.  If I get on the list,  I am totally making the drive up there.  It's eight hours for me.

Now they are just leaving L.A. and heading to the UK. I wish I could do that.

Anyone tried to get on, or know they are on the list for the Bloomington, IN show?  I am wondering how late they send out confirmations.  The website said they might wait until the week before the show, but I am hoping not that late.

I still have yet to call my venue!

Also, I'm completely uncertain how I'm even getting there seeing as how it's a 4 hour drive from my house. D:

Bloomington, IN is eight hours away from me.  I hear ya.  Although I have made at least four road trips to see STG before.  So, no biggie.  Smiley

I'm thinking Joe might have more restrictions than you since he's still a teen. Four hours could be a really big deal to his parents...

Heck, my first shiny concert was 2 hours away and in order to go, I had to not tell them until it was over. And I was 21.

This was the case because I drove their car, I am the youngest, and they have extreme issues with me driving long distances and/or through large cities. Places like Santa Cruz and San Francisco are "oh no, you mustn't! It's scary there! PEOPLE DRIVE CRAZY!" But I go anyway because I have to go sometime and I don't want to miss out on things.

So... Maybe Joe should go spend the night at a friend's house and they should go together. But only if he wants to. I mean, he is underage and that does have it's limitations. When you're a legit adult, blowing off your parents wishes to fulfill your own is less rebellious and more "I'm grown up."

My parents were like that too. Sometimes, it's just easier to let them know afterward. I agree, as an adult you can take what your parents say as advice instead of "do this or you're grounded". Not that my parents believe in grounding, but you probably get the idea.

Have you thought of going to the concert with one of your parent's, Joe?

I understand that your fellow teens would probably think it's lame and all, but it is a winning situation for both parties. Your parents would be happy that you arrive safely, etc. and you'd get to see one of your favorite bands (which is the most important part).

True.  My limitations are MONEY and 'can I get off of work that day'?  (Which sounds simple, but it's really not.)

No kidding. When I wanted to attend the New Year's show back when I did, I couldn't get the days around it off and had to change days with a co-worker.

I actually have sorta already planned something like this. It involves staying at my brother's house. xD

LOL. Um, yeah. The second Sisely drops one of two F-bombs, it'll all be over.

Ahh, yes. BUT, you could choose to, at that moment, say something to said parent so they are listening to you and not her--for one second.

Lawl.

Well, it would never work getting them to take me anyway.

They both agree (especially my mom) that Miami is modern day Sodom and Gomorrah.

Boo. Well...there was a chance that your parents might have been cool about it. I had to bring it up.

I'm glad you have a older brother willing to help you out. Being the cool older sibling rocks, I'd know. Cheesy

I really hope it works out...'cause you really need to go see them.

i signed up for tickets to the bloomington show, it's only 3 hours from me (and 45 minutes from my parents house!).  hope i get them!  if i do, and one of you wants to accompany me, i'd be up for that!  it'd be some short notice though, especially if they wait till the week before the show to notify me.
