Haha. I actually read through the whole topic this time and through all of the hate I found this little sparkling piece: Same. To me, I compare it to (forgive the nerdyness) Harry Potter the books being WAP and Harry Potter Movies being SOP. Both are great and I love them. But WAP has that original STG feeling that is what originally attracted me to them.
Love it. I relate to this comparison so much better than the ones about other bands. No need for nerdiness to be forgiven either; HP is just one of those thing that HAS to be brought up in normal everyday conversation. You know. |

IMHO, WAP appeals to the dance/electro/techno group of people. As where SOP appeals to the hard rock people. So thats why when people say "what happend to STG? They suck now!", its coming from a person who doesnt like Rock, but like the Dance scene....or vise versa...I guess I like both so I have no argument. WAP and SOP Are Equal  |

True, but alot of people that I've spoken to on chat rooms and such say they like SOP because of it being predominatly rock. Thats just what I've heard people say. I also used a different genre. I mean Alt. rock and grunge.  |

If rather than just some random comments I actually wrote my review of SOP, would this be the thread to put it in? I know its late in the game but I don't like reviewing something until I've gone some months without my opinion changing on any song.

well. it's just. dark. and has this sort of electro-goth feel. which I adore.  That's funny because my boyfriend likes electronic/industrial/goth styles of music a lot and he hates Season of Poison. Lucky for me, STG has been redeemed for him with their recent covers. Then again, everyone has their own tastes, so whatever. |
